Racecourse Passivhaus scheme wins Building Excellence Award

The Racecourse Passivhaus scheme by Devereux Architects and Gentoo Construction were awarded 'Best Housing Development' at the Building Excellence Awards by Sunderland City Council. The Seventh Annual Building Excellence Awards organised by Sunderland City Council  to recognise and encourage outstanding and innovative standards of construction and design was held on 26th January 2012 at the Stadium of Light. The awards go to the most innovative construction projects completed by individuals and organisations within the city over the past twelve months in a number of different categories.

Winners of this event are eligible for entry into the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Northern Region Building Excellence Awards, to be held at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle Gateshead on 22 June 2012.
