Sampson Close receives sustain magazine award for Off-site production
The Passivhaus certified Sampson Close scheme at Coventry won an award for Off-site construction at the sustain’ Magazine Awards for Sustainability, Business & the Built Environment. The award was received by Trust members Baily Garner, Orbit Heart of England and Wates Living Space. The sustain’ Magazine Awards are designed to celebrate the high hopes and hard work, commitment and creativity, radicalism and rigour, inspiration and perspiration of all those achieving distinction and success in the field of Sustainability and was held at the Canary Wharf, Hilton Hotel on Tuesday 20th March.
Designed by Baily Garner and developed by Orbit Homes, the Sampson Close scheme of 18 flats and 5 houses is the first and largest social housing scheme in the Midlands to obtain Passivhaus Certification. More information on the scheme can be found here.
