The Passivhaus standard demystified is a one day conference introducing the Passivhaus Standard to planning officers, building control, architects, and contractors, focussing on the planning, policy, and aesthetic issues. This event is organised by the Passivhaus Hub.
Following the success of the previous event on 18 October 2011, which focused on Social Housing, this conference shifts the focus to include the planning policies and aesthetic issueswhich affect all new and refurbished buildings.
Topics covered:
• Current energy framework for planning and building regulations
• Passivhaus standard explained.
• Tour of Hadlowʼs Passivhaus building, identifying key visual features.
• Case studies.
• Retrofit of existing buildings to EnerPHit standard.
Speakers:
Collectively the speakers have been involved with many of the key low energy and sustainable buildings in the south east in the last 10 years.
